Specifically, because of its experience in habitat conservation and management, and participation in replicability and knowledge transfer networks, this university is coordinating the actions focused on diagnosis of habitats and traditional activities, habitat monitoring, replicability.Jaime Fagúndez Díaz is a professor in the Department of Sciences at UDC, and also the project’s coordinator. He holds a PhD in Biology, and his research is focused on botany and habitat conservation.María José Servia García is a professor in the Department of Sciences at UDC. She holds a PhD in Biology, and she works in the fields of entomology and management of invasive species.José Antonio Cortés Vázquez is a professor in the Sociology Department at UDC. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science, and his research is focused on the sociology and anthropology of relations between humans and their environments.Laura Lagos Abarzuza is a researcher affiliated with UDC. She is a Forestry Engineer with a PhD in Ecology, and her work is focused on horses, grazing practices, and habitat conservation and restoration.Flavia Cardoso Canastra is a Biologist and an advanced research support technician at UDC. Her work involves sustainable use of natural resources and grazing systems for habitat conservation.Emma Pérez Castro is an administrative assistant at UDC. HAZI FundazioaHazi is acting as the communication and knowledge transfer coordinator for the RURALtXA! project. It is coordinating the communication actions and specifically those related to the bioeconomy, because it has a well-established communications office and experience in marketing and product distribution strategies, as well as experience with agricultural training programmes.Mikel de Francisco Pastor is a Biologist and leader of the project team for HAZI. His work is focused on habitat conservation.Amelia Ortubay Fuentes is a consultant from HAZI. She holds a PhD in Biology and her research involves planning and management support for Protected Natural Spaces and intermediation among the various parties involved with them.Francisco Javier Pérez Pérez is a Biologist and a project technician at HAZI. His work is dedicated to habitat management, regional planning, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).Ana Gracianteparaluzeta López de Torre is a Biologist and a project technician at HAZI. Her work involves sustainability and environmental outreach.Silvia Arroyo Solana is a Journalist and a consultant at HAZI. University of Santiago de Compostela(Universidad de Santiago de Compostela or USC) is acting as technical coordinator for the RURALtXA! project, and because of the extensive experience it possesses in certain areas, it is specifically coordinating evaluation of the conservation status of the habitat types, production of management plans, conservation actions, assessment of ecosystem services, and sustainability of the lifecycle for livestock raising activities.Ramón A. Díaz Varela is a professor at the Higher Polytechnic Engineering School at the USC campus in Lugo, and he is acting as technical coordinator for the project. He holds a PhD in Forestry Engineering, and his research is focused on applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing for biodiversity characterisation and monitoring.Emilio R. He holds a degree in Environmental Sciences, and he works in the area of habitat management, conservation, and restoration.Alberto Fraile De Benito is a collaborator researcher at BIOGROUP (USC). He holds a degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master in Environmental Engineering.
